FACE ENGINE

FACE ENGINE is an audio-visual work developed within the installation ULTRAMONO SYNTHSPA. The video focuses on close-up views of faces and surfaces undergoing continuous transformation. Fragments of synthetic material, drifting particles, and unstable mask structures move across the skin as if responding to invisible environmental signals. Faces appear to exist in a permanent state of optimization, constantly recalibrated by the surrounding network.

These surfaces function as signal-sensitive membranes. Appearance shifts in response to algorithmic visibility, exposure metrics, and the flows of data that shape contemporary digital environments. Neon yellow fiberoptic hair appears as a recurring signal marker, linking the subjects to a wider technological ecosystem.

At times small luminous entities emerge within these transformations. Known as MICRO OPERATORS, they resemble drifting spores or clusters of living data moving across the face. These organisms appear to be fragments of distributed intelligence, subtle agents of the system that continuously observe, regulate, and adjust the visible surface of identity.
