HYPERMASK consists of portrait images and staged self-representations constructed as digital faces.
The faces are assembled from mixed visual elements including emoji-like forms, synthetic skin textures, reflective surfaces, cosmetic materials and fragments of natural imagery.
Each face appears as a layered composition of different surface components.
The images show variations of these constructions across multiple portraits and staged selfies.
The faces change between iterations while retaining recurring structural elements.
Masks, filters and surface modifications are applied as part of the image construction process.
The work presents faces as constructed image systems made from combined visual parts.
