Thanks everyone for making the event last night epic! Fantastic sets by Sineva, myself (Tanja Vujinovic) and surprise set full of excellent remixes by Spontaneous aka Sponty. Deep, raw, rough techno, and some wild avatars and shaders.
Flowerlab is a part of an ongoing project developed within the AvantGarden series. Seeds of the AvantGarden are sprouting. We are surrounded by the shifting landscape, and we are never alone. We are accompanied by synthetic life that reminds us of our place in the world. By stepping into the Bios of the AvantGarden, by planting seeds, we can also return to a potential future. As in the other changing locations of the AvantGarden, there are some significant staple objects like pink formations of unknown substances, radio antenna, some proto-machines, both ancient and futuristic, and occasional smoke and light that change according to the current shifting content within the space. As a perfect utopia, and a necessary one, this is a computational place where living and non-living nature and humanity co-exist, a place where people and machines interact and co-evolve, a place of life, where we feel alive. It is a place where humans and code create a shared, philosophical life.
AvantGarden series is dedicated to the research of recreational spaces, more specifially, in case of social VR clubbing environments, its focus is on rave culture.

Its 2023 already! Thank you everyone who attended Ultramono and Patterns collab event on Thursday. We listened to fantastic live DJ sets by Sponty, myself (Tanja Vujinovic), TheVmp, and Aural State, saw some new crazy avatars, and already started celebrating the arrival of the New Year. Loading lab
New track "Loading" with some pictures of me in my lab! The title of the album is O.C.P. standing for "Optimize", "Calibrate" & "Play", which are the names of the first three tracks. There are two more bonus tracks called "Loading" and "Manual". As these titles might indicate, the whole album is directly inspired by social VR games, mostly VRChat; All the friendships, the conversations, the enjoyment, the sharing of music & the events, it's all in the album in some way. The official release date of the album is the 30th of December but you can hear it on YouTube already and its also available on Bandcamp. Thanks to all the people who support me, enjoy my new album.

We kindly invite you to join us for the opening of Tanja Vujinović's solo exhibition where you will enter and explore metaphorical gardens in virtual reality and immerse yourself in a unique visual and sound installation. The opening will take place on Friday, 23 December 2022, at 6 p.m. in the artKIT exhibition space.
Tanja Vujinović’s practice is deeply rooted in the overlaps and in-between spaces of art, technology, and science. In her multidisciplinary projects, she intertwines virtual reality, principles of video games, storytelling, 3D modeling, AI, and electronic music to create new poetic and immersive worlds as social spaces for rethinking the present and imagining a potentially utopian future anew. Recently, the artist has been developing a series of audio-visual artworks, video camera filters and digital images based on research on being embodied in immersive spaces and the development of avatars driven by the general urge to create, approach, and communicate with our Synthetic Other.
Tanja Vujinović is a new media, visual and sound artist. Her works have been shown in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Strasbourg, Kunst Palast Museum in Düsseldorf, Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver, Kunsthaus in Merano, Museum of Contemporary Art in Istanbul, KIBLA PORTAL in Maribor, Kapelica Gallery in Ljubljana, Museum Vasarely Foundation in Aix-en-Provence, and Künstlerhaus in Vienna. She has presented at festivals such as ISEA2009 in Belfast, Ars Electronica in Linz, Kinetica Art Fair in London, Spor Festival in Aarhus, FILE Festival in Sao Paulo, FILE RIO in Rio de Janeiro and KIBLIX 2020–2021 and KIBLIX 2022. She completed her Bachelor studies in Fine Arts, and in 2010, she obtained a PhD in Philosophy and Theory of Visual Culture. Tanja is the founder of Ultramono, a cybernetic art hub. As a passionate supporter of rave culture she has created a few techno albums and is also DJing herself.
