AVANTGUARDIANS extends the AVANTGARDEN universe into a speculative ecological memorial. The project assembles digital entities from the anatomical memory of extinct species*.

Current extinction rates are estimated in the tens of thousands of species per year. Each disappearance is not only biological. It is the loss of unique structures of perception, adaptation, and evolutionary intelligence.

AVANTGUARDIANS reconstructs fragments of these vanished anatomies through hyperreal 3D synthesis. The work generates speculative organisms that exist between paleontology and code. Extinct morphologies* are computationally translated, hybridized, and reanimated as synthetic presences. Each entity acts as a perceptual experiment, making absence tangible and exposing the scale of biodiversity loss. Simulation becomes a site of responsibility.
