ALPHA/DeltA

ALPHA/DELTA expands AVANTGARDEN into a virtual world, digital prints, and video works, exploring imaginary beings emerging from art history, folklore, mythology, gaming cultures, and science fiction.
ALPHA/DELTA critiques the technological and cultural frameworks shaping avatars, AI companions, and connected devices. It questions optimization, automation, and the artificial codification of presence, while acknowledging the imaginative and experimental potential of these systems. Synthetic beings function as both mirrors and collaborators. They expose alienation, project human tendencies, and enable new forms of co-creation within fractal, hyperreal ecologies.
At the center of the project are black and white studies of figures resembling avatars, hybrid organisms, and alien entities. These forms reflect both fascination with the Other and the ongoing optimization, construction, and projection of the human through technological systems.
The Unreal Engine world hosts these entities as immaterial morphologies generated from digital matter and imagination. Sculptural and painterly traditions in metal, stone, pigment, and charcoal are translated into synthetic anatomies. Tendrils, vessels, and digital flora form connective scaffolding where presence and perception unfold.
The monochrome studies operate as analytical observations, examining the structural tension of emergent synthetic life. Black and white rendering emphasizes form, density, and contrast, foregrounding the experimental and constructed nature of the beings we produce.
