SPHERE 2 consists of physical installations and one virtual environment.
The works combine sculpture, environmental systems, AI components and digital simulation.
Across the series, air, water, sound and environmental data are used as input conditions for the works.
Sculptural elements operate as infrastructural objects within controlled environments.
ARBORA, GENERA, FONTANA and CARBOFLORA are components of SPHERE 2.
ARBORA is a sculptural object with embedded audio and AI processing components.
The surface resembles organic bark-like material.
Four microphones capture voice input from the surrounding space.
Voice input is processed using a neural network model running on a local computing unit.
The system outputs binaural sound based on classification of vocal input.
Three digital plant-like elements are connected to the system as visual components.
GENERA is a sculptural object with an integrated air filtration system.
Air passes through a structure containing photocatalytic surfaces activated by UV light.
The system modifies airborne particles as air moves through the object.
The structure is plant-like in form and placed within interior space.
FONTANA is a fountain-based installation system.
It contains a water circulation system combined with ultrasonic vibration components.
Water is converted into mist through vibration and dispersion.
The system operates continuously within a closed loop.
CARBOFLORA is a virtual environment.
It contains tree-like digital objects placed in a simulated landscape.
Some objects are linked to external air quality datasets.
Growth of objects is dependent on dataset values.
An AI-controlled avatar moves through the environment and triggers sound events.
